Congressman Gus Bilirakis has expressed his strong opposition to the Senate's border deal, stating that it would worsen the invasion at the border and undermine national security. The Congressman criticized the $118 billion bill, claiming that it would incentivize illegal entry and provide work permits to those claiming asylum.

"The awful $118 billion Senate Bill would actually worsen the invasion at our border by incentivizing illegal entry of 5,000 per day and giving away U.S. work permits to those claiming asylum," Congressman Bilirakis stated. He further argued that the President already has the authority to close the border by enforcing existing laws and reversing actions that have exacerbated the problem.

Furthermore, Congressman Bilirakis criticized the President's record, asserting that it has proven that he won't do the right thing to keep Americans safe. He expressed concerns that the bill is merely a scheme to allocate more taxpayer dollars towards the President's liberal agenda, without any guarantees that the money will be used effectively or in accordance with federal law.

"The bill would also exacerbate our financial problems by sending more hard-earned tax dollars to Ukraine with zero accountability on how they will be used," Congressman Bilirakis added. He emphasized that the plan is "dead on arrival" in the House, indicating that it is unlikely to gain support.

The Congressman concluded by affirming his commitment to national security and delivering on the "America First" agenda demanded by his constituents. He assured that compromise would not be made when it comes to safeguarding the country's interests.

In light of Congressman Bilirakis' opposition, it remains to be seen how the Senate's border deal will progress in Congress. The concerns raised by the Congressman highlight the contentious nature of the issue and the divergent viewpoints surrounding immigration and national security.
